    TRACE 1600 series gas chromatographs feature a small footprint, size and light weight, which makes them easy to move, low cost and frees up bench space for other uses.

    TRACE 1600 gas chromatographs provide a minimized local interface and are ideal for laboratory environments where local or remote control through a chromatographic data system and necessary instrument interaction are preferred requirements.

    The TRACE 1610 gas chromatograph provides an enhanced workflow experience with direct instrument control and deep interaction through a large, multi-function touch screen.

    iConnect connecting column latch

    Our TRACE 1600 series GC systems are equipped with instant (iConnect) connection column locks that simplify capillary column installation, thereby eliminating the risk of over-tightening and ensuring fast, leak-free operation. They allow a hand-tight connection with a simple operation and allow capillary column length adjustment prior to installation. The iConnect connecting column latch is also compatible with iConnect SSL injection ports and all iConnect detector modules, as well as the Thermo Scientific TriPlus 500 headspace autosampler interface.
    Only a simple operation can be used to tighten the connection by hand, so as to adjust the length of the capillary column before installation.

    The TRACE 1610 gas chromatograph 7-inch high-resolution multi-language touch screen can be easily navigated through intuitive icons, and quickly access instrument controls, status information, real-time signals, consumables usage counters, operation method videos, diagnostics and operation logs.

Automatic consumables tracking allows you to optimize the use of consumables to avoid unnecessary and expensive replacements. Instrument health can also be tracked within the Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) to improve GLP compliance.

    iConnect injection port and detector flexibility

    TRACE 1600 and 1610 gas chromatographs accommodate up to two iConnect injection ports and up to two iConnect detectors-expandable to four iConnect detectors when used with a TRACE 1610 assisted oven. Our full range of inlet and detector modules are interchangeable on both TRACE 1300 series and TRACE 1600 series GC systems, giving you flexible instrument configurations to meet your changing analytical needs and make better use of your laboratory's resources. Novice and experienced users will value the ease of use and reliability of advanced modular technology, as well as the streamlined instrument adoption facilitated by smooth method portability.
    Miniaturized plug-ins that can be installed by the user realize convenient and fast connection without cables and pipes
    The miniaturized integrated electronic gas control (IEC) function of the iConnect inlet and detector module integrates gas lines, fittings, restrictions and electronic valves into each module along with electronics for temperature and gas control, signal amplification and A/D conversion. Each module can be identified by a serial number for tracking and functions as an item independent of the GC system, which allows it to be changed on the instrument while maintaining compliance with the quality plan. Since these modules store their calibration information, the analysis results remain consistent and do not require recalibration after replacement.
