Sample preparation. First, select and analyze the elements and prepare the sample solution. The concentration of the sample solution should generally be between 0.1 and 10 ug/ml. Make sure that there is no dust and impurities in the sample solution to avoid errors. If the sample contains interfering substances such as salts and proteins, it needs to be handled appropriately.

The operating steps of the atomic absorption spectrometer usually include the following main steps:

Sample preparation. First, select and analyze the elements and prepare the sample solution. The concentration of the sample solution should generally be between 0.1 and 10 ug/ml. Make sure that there is no dust and impurities in the sample solution to avoid errors. If the sample contains interfering substances such as salts and proteins, it needs to be handled appropriately.
Instrument debugging. Turn on the power of the instrument and warm up. The warm-up time is usually at least 30 minutes. Check whether the instrument is normal, including flame, gas, filament and power supply. Replace damaged components if necessary. According to the characteristics of the sample to choose the appropriate spectral line and wavelength, power and other parameters. Select the most suitable analytical method and working conditions.
Measuring operation. Blank measurements were taken, air or solution was placed in the flame, and the signal was recorded. This step is required before each measurement. The sample to be tested is then added to the flame and the corresponding signal is recorded. The test tube and flame should be cleaned before and after measurement to avoid residual elements affecting the analysis results.
Data processing. According to the measurement results, you can use the instrument's own software or other data processing software. Select the appropriate analysis method for data analysis, pay attention to the processing of data errors, such as repeated measurement and mean calculation.
Shutdown and maintenance. After the measurement, shut down the relevant equipment and systems. Flush the line with 1% nitric acid and water to make the flame blue-purple. Shut down acetylene, air compressor, etc., and record the test results and experimental contents.
These steps ensure the accuracy and reliability of the atomic absorption spectrometer, resulting in high-precision and high-sensitivity experimental results.
